Connecting women across the wind industry
Exchange, new contacts, and strong networks: At WindEnergy Hamburg, several formats focused on networking women in the wind industry – a topic that also plays an important role for HUSUM WIND.
During WindEnergy Hamburg, our colleague Mette Bahnsen joined two different networking formats dedicated to women in the wind industry.
At lunchtime, the mEErFrauen eV-Lunch brought together women from across the onshore and offshore wind sectors for lively exchange, networking and new connections.
Later that day, Wine’clock: Connecting Women – Driving Wind focused on diversity, career paths and the value of different perspectives within the industry. The evening started with a short panel discussion before moving into networking and exchange with women from across the wind sector.
Different formats, but a shared idea: creating space for women in wind to connect, exchange experiences and strengthen their networks. It is an idea that is also very much part of HUSUM WIND.
In 2025, our own Women in Wind event made its debut in Husum - and all 140 places were fully booked. The evening combined an inspiring keynote with networking, live music, drinks and plenty of space for personal conversations and new connections in our Purple Lounge.
And the story continues: Women in Wind will return at HUSUM WIND 2027.
While the details of the next edition are still taking shape, one thing is already clear: we want to continue creating a dedicated space for women across the wind industry to meet, exchange ideas and build strong networks.
